Wolf-Bound

     After a few more minutes of walking in silence, Miyu spotted a large building down the hill. She gasped and started running down the hill, so relieved that she found a place for the group to stay! The gardevoir skidded to a halt at the very end of the hill and turned to wait for the other two.

 "Don't worry!" She shouted. "We're almost there-just a little while longer!"

   The sand burned Kokuei's feet as she walked, but she was too tired to react to it, if she even noticed. Sweat had stopped flowing down her neck, because now her body was trying to retain what little water it had left. Kokuei's temperature had reached near fever-pitch under the blistering sun. She could barely see the gardevoir in front of them, who had been reduced to a green blur in front of them. Finally, nearing exhaustion, Kokuei's foot hit a rock and she fell to the ground.

   Rakurai barked and ran to her trainer. Putting her head under Kokuei's body she tried to lift the girl up, but it was no use. Kokuei refused to rise; she couldn't.

     Miyu heard a loud THUD behind her. She turned to see what it was, and noticed that Kokuei had collapsed! She rushed over to the trainer and tried to help Rakurai lift her upon the electric pokemon's back. Dang, this girl was heavy! After a few minutes of struggle, Miyu managed to heave her on Rakurai.

 "Can you make it just a little longer?" She asked. "We're very close now!"

   Rai nodded her head tiredly. Head low, she began walking towards Miyu's shelter. Her toungue lolled out of her mouth, salivating in the heat. Fortunately since she drained heat through her mouth, she wasn't sweaty like her trainer. Unfortunately, Rai was covered in warm fur from head to toe, with an added sweaty girl on her back. SHE. WAS. HOT. Finally, the two pokemon reached the house and Rai collapsed in the shade of the structure, panting.

     Miyu was beginning to get super worried now. They had found shelter, but now she needed to find some water for the three of them. The gardevoir found herself at a pointed end-she could survive for longer periods of time without water, but the other two couldn't necessarily do the same. She pulled Kokuei off of Rai's back, pulled her inside the shelter, then went back for Rai. She pulled the two safely inside, but when she went back outside to look for the psychic waves she sensed earlier, she only got caught in a sandstorm. Well, there was no way they were going to get back now! She coughed up sand and trailed back into the shelter. Kokuei was starting to look worse, now!

 "What's wrong with her?" She asked innocently. She never had to deal with this problem-Hikaru was always taken care of by her older brother or something! here there was no one.

   Rai snarled, her lip raised. "She's dehydrated of course!! A hatchling would know that." She flicked her tail and looked away, her teeth disappearing under her lips. "I'm sorry. I'm just frustrated... I'm worried about her; humans can't survive in this heat."

     "I thought you said you would dig up some water, though." She asked defensively. "I've never had to deal with this problem-my trainer always had her older brother take care of her when something like this happened! I don't know how to fix it...."

   Rai growled. "I did dig up water. We filled the canteen- when we were in the steppes. The ground there contained water if you dug deep enough. We thought it would last. Kokuei drank the last of it over two hours ago." Her fur bristled. "And for the record, I've never had to take care of ANYONE. EVER!" She stopped, and turning around, padded to the window. Specks of sand floated across her face through the cracks in the glass, causing her to squint.

     "W-well, I-I... I just... thought that..." She stuttered, trying to find the words she needed to explain. But nothing came to her, so she sank to the ground and folded her arms around her legs in a fetal position. "I'm just as weak here as I was back with Hikaru. I never got anywhere without big brother. All I did was play-I AM a little girl's pokemon, after all. Does this charm bracelt even mean anything anymore? For all I know, Hikaru's probably DEAD by now!"

 She sniffed and jingled her bracelet, tears swelling and pouring down her face. She wished she had never gotten separated from her darling trainer.

   Rai looked back at Miyu, ears back sympathetically. Her tail flicked dismissively. "I've been alone all my life, before Kokuei found me. When I was a kitten I was meant to be a present for a little girl. When the father didn't want me I got dumped on the street and grew up living in the alleys of the city. I ate leftovers and fought for my food every day, no matter how small the rations." Her whiskers twitched at the memory. "Eventually one day Kokuei came along. She looked as if she were lost and terribly confused. She happened upon my alley and I bit her. She gave me ice cream." The electric pokemon looked over at her companion.

   "I ran away of course. The next time I saw her she was being chased by the same type of crooks we fought today. She was in trouble and had no pokemon. When they jumped on her I leapt out and fought them. I evolved to drive them off. I've been with her ever since....." Rai's nose twitched. "Though it seems as if I'm looking after her most of the time. I can't understand how anyone can be so damn light-hearted when they're being chased. I'm sorry about your girl. It must really worry you to be seperated like this."

     Miyu sniffled and looked up at the electric Pokemon. She imagined her as a little shinx-running about the streets of a city after being dumped out by her previous owner. That was really sad. The gardevoir straightened up and looked over at Kokuei, chuckling a little when she saw her face.

 "Well, that's a good thing, right? Being sad all the time won't get you anywhere." She replied. "And it's alright. I just hope she's alright. I miss her adorable, curly hair and those cute blue eyes of hers!"

 THAT SOUNDS LIKE MAH DADDY D; Though I don't think he would be so mean as to do that. (LOL MEW!HIKARU REFERENCE E V E)

   Rai growled. "Maybe, but it's a pain in the ass. She's always hiding from them but at the same time she's so optimistic. She won't even tell me why she's being chased; all I know is that she know's information that they want." She flicked her tail. "I don't know why I even stay with her. If she won't trust me enough to tell me what's going on, why should I even bother to protect her in the first place?"

     Miyu thought on that for a moment. She had asked herself that question before when she was with Hikaru still. She smiled and patted Rai's head.

 "You'll figure it out. Stick with her a little while longer-she'll tell you her secrets when she's ready." She always had disputes with Espeon because Hikaru told her everything and Miyu had been left in the dark. "I've felt that way before. I'm sure she's just concerned for your safety-if she cares about you, then if she's being chased she wants you to stay safe and not in harm's way."

   Rakurai scoffed, spitting catishly in petty contempt. "I don't need protecting. I can take care of myself; I'm stronger than she is, she's a human. Whatever it is she's hiding, I want to know, and she is going to tell me."

     Miyu sighed. "Just... She'll tell you when she wants to. For right now, we need to find some water for her. I wish I knew Rain Dance or something."

   Rai grimaced. "Ya, I know. I don't even know where we could find water in this place, much less how to carry it back." Her shoulders slumped. "If only Kokuei were awake- she'd know what to do. She has this strange way of knowing everything about anything. Once we were surrounded by angry aron, and she simply took a few nails out of her pocket and threw them down the tunnel. The pokemon scrambled after it like it were the most precious artifacts in the world- she really knows her pokemon."

     "Wow, that's pretty neat~" Miyu smiled. "My girl barely knows anything about Pokemon-only our attacks, what works best against an enemy, and simple things that don't normally help. Just the battle stuff. However, her brother is fantastic! He knows so much about pokemon, but it seems he tends to forget things often.  He can heal when there's no pokemon center and he knows lots and lots about the legendaries!"

 She got up and walked around when she was finished talking, not letting Rai have a chance to respond. She found an abandoned staircase that was caved in. Miyu frowned at it, but cracked her knuckles and attempted to fix it with her psychic. Or at least, get it so she could climb it without scathing herself.

  Rai shook her head and stood up. Following Miyu's movements with her gaze, she kept an eye on the gardevoir while she took the time to survey their surroundings.

   The group had stopped in a small shack which was very old by the looks of it. Made of wood, it wasn't much use for blocking out the sand, but what shelter it provided was better than the storm outside. Looking up, Rai saw wooden rafters holding up the ceiling, which had been worn away by years of wear and tiny, nawing teeth. The luxray could smell the stench of the ratatta nests now. Imagining the tiny scuttling and claws scratching the wood, whiskers tickling the wood, Rai shivered in discust.

   Grimacing, Rakurai went back to her trainer. Night had fallen and the shack suddenly felt cooler, the wind from the cracks ruffling Rai's ears. Lying down, Rakurai lay across her trainer, listening to the beating of her heart, and feeling the rise and fall of her breath. Rai sighed and lay her head on Kokuei's chest, sand falling like snow from the ceiling above them. Her tail twitched.

   That itches...

     I CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE I DUNNO WHAT TO POST NEXT BESIDES MIYU FREAKING GETTING UP THE STAIRS!!!!!!!!!!

     The blaziken had finally made it out-and when he got out to the rest, everyone was there to welcome him. He put Slash down beside quilava, knowing that the other fire starter was one of the pikachu's friends. He then made his way back to Tracie, who was with the mightyena and dratini.

 "Hey," He panted, crouching down in a comfortable position. "Everybody make it out alright?"

 "Yes, but I was stuck here worrying that you and Slash wouldn't make it since I very well KNOW you're horrible with directions." Tracie growled. "But anyway, we're fi-"

 Suddenly, there was a blinding flash of light. The group gasped and covered their eyes to avert the blast, but they were also impaled with a giant gust of wind. When the flash finally subsided and the wind calmed, they looked up to see a bubble. A bright, big, pink bubble-and there was a person inside! No one dared to touch it, only stare. Until that little dratini decided to slither up to it.

 "Dratini, no!" Tracie whispered, reaching out but failing to catch the little dragon type Pokemon and failing. She looked at the bubble, blinking a few times before she reached up and touched it with her mouth. The bubble immediately popped, and out came a little girl with pink hair. She fell beside the dratini with a yelp and got up. As soon as she rubbed her head, the pokemon around her gasped, for she revealed little mew ears and a long curvy mew tail as she looked up expectantly and blinked. Who were they?

 "That...girl...!" Tracie breathed in awe.

 "Reminds me of-" Saya began, and they finished together. "His sister, almost!"

 "Um... h-hi?" She asked hesitantly, making an awkward smiled and raising a hand in a half wave.

   Slash lay on the floor next to Quilava, being warmed by the heat of his flame. A Magneton and a Mareep lay next to him, slowly lending him their electricity. Slash's cheeks sparked with the renewed energy, and he nuzzled closer to the mareep's fluffy, staticky fur, basking in the revilalizing electricity.

   The three pichu on the other hand were instantly captivated with the appearance of the strange human girl, and immedeatly, albeit warily, scampered up to investigate her irregular appendages. All three of them immedeatly set to work poking at her tail, nibbling her soft pink fur, and climbing her body to sniff inside her funny-looking ears.

Note- I think tiny Pichu whiskers up ur ears would be terribly tickling don't you? XDDD
