Tracie gazed around at all the sick and injured pokemon. A lab in Unova? Wasn't that... Flashbacks of the horrible incident two years ago surrounded her vision. A contest, a boy and his sister, her fellow pokemon companions.... Everything was ruined from the start. They should have never gone to the Unova region. She remembered the chaos and destruction that had been caused, and how she and her friends were always running, always trying to find a way out of their situation. But nothing worked. In the end, they all had to split up; go their separate ways. Those days when they started to break away were the most heart breaking moments of her life. To see her trainer leave and have all her friends disappear was horrid. The glaceon closed her eyes and opened them back up to reality, where pokemon were fearful of rabid trainers outside. She sighed and smiled warmly at them. "I know how you all feel about having to just keep running and running." She said finally. "I assume that lab is why your pelt is so interestingly colored? Anyway, I can still help you all if you're willing to let me. Saya and I have been in this city for a much longer range of time than you, so we know most of the ins and outs of the city. I could take you all through a few tunnels below the city, and once Saya wakes up he can take a second party so you all can stay inconspicuous. Sound fair?"

Slash nodded, looking relieved. "Yes- Thank you. But there are more upstairs as well." He looked at the gap in the wall. "We will need three groups. You will lead one and I will follow you through the path. I will then come back while your friend leads the next. Then I will take the last and we will all be out of the town."

"Alright, sounds like a plan!" Tracie replied. "I'll go see if Saya's awake yet. Get everyone up and ready to leave at a moment's notice!" And with that, the glaceon dashed out of the old abandoned storefront and ran around until she was able to locate the rapidash. She ran alongside it until the horse pokemon started to turn a corner. Then, Trace jumped up and landed on Saya's belly which made him jolt upright and fall off the horse. "Sorry, I need to borrow him for a moment!" She called to the rapidash. "Saya, you lazy bum! Get up!" "Ten more minutes..." The blaziken moaned before getting up. Tracie gave him the run down of the situation before they split ways, Saya with the rapidash's party and Tracie with the bottom floor of the store pokemon. "Everybody, let's move! Help each other out and get out as quickly as you can!" She yelled as she burst into the room.

Slash nodded when Tracie burst into the room. He had split the pokemon up so that the young and tired went first. Furret and azurill were in the first group along with stantler and his rack of puny pokemon. "Okay first party follow Tracie!" With that he leapt out of the store front after the ice pokemon. As she was about to turn into the street he stopped her. "We should go through the buildings. There are only two between here and there." He leapt up at the door and used iron tail on the door. Unfortunately his attempts to impress were thwarted by the thick oaken wood. He frowned and sighed. "Bayleaf, Monferno, if you'd be so kind...." Within seconds the door to the building was open and they all dashed through. When the second building was opened they found it was a house, and that they were crashing right through someone's living room. The family of three sat on their couch watching in wonder as the hoard of pokemon crashed through their living room and out into the alley through their kitchen. As Slash passed through the kitchen and over the tiled floor a blue furred thing came out of nowhere and almost shaved his ears off. Right in front of him stood a purugly, held back only by the collar around its neck, and the rope attached to the furnace. Slash lay his ears back and put his tail down in a crouch. He attempted a smile. "He he- Gooooooootta go!" He whipped out the door after the rest of the pokemon, leaving the captive purugly angrily straining against its ropes. He shuddered as he left the screeching behind. I hate cats! They gotta go down a drainage pipe >w> and get outta the town that way~ The entrance is in that alleyway that they just ran into. Glaceon has to lead em through as soon as they pop out of the house XDDD

The glaceon skillfully bounded out of the kitchen, a herd of pokemon squabbling after her. She led them down a sewage pipe that was big enough for all of them, which would lead them out to the alleyway she had pointed out earlier. Then they'd be in the cave-save from harm's way. She knew now that Saya was up and herding the running pokemon now, and the pikachu should have been following their escape. After a few minutes of looking around, she finally found her way and let the group up and out of the pipe. When she managed to slide the manhole cover out of the way, she wriggled out and helped the other pokemon climb out of there unscathed. "Don't worry, guys;" She reassured them as she let a small, injured pichu climb upon her back. "We're almost there!" She waited until she was absolutely positive everyone was out before she jumped to the head of the pack and bolted into a dark alleyway. "Are you sure this is safe?" A drifblim asked warily. "Yes, I'm positive." Tracie replied before disappearing into the darkness. "I know these streets better than most pokemon who live here; in fact, this is the way Saya and I first came here-through this cavern....Does anyone have a light?" A charmander ended up helping her get through the cavern the rest of the way. In about an hour, they were out and Saya's group was following after them-they were about to enter the cavern, so they should be out quickly. "Alright, is everyone okay?" The glaceon asked as she went around to check everyone. She hoped they were all alright. "No one hurt?"

After the first group had gotten to the cavern, Slash stopped in the entrance. As the pokemon were lead away by Tracie and charmander, he turned around and raced back to the man-hole cover. Folding his ears across his back, he poked his nose under the lid and managed to slip inside. Once he popped back out on the other side and suddenly stood face to face with a blaziken. While Slash stood in surprise, the blaziken lifted the hole cover from his back. Slash's ears perked up and he smiled in his little pikachu fashion. "Thanks. Your friend reached a cavern a few minutes ago so I turned back." He flicked his tail. "You go on ahead and I'll go get the last of the pokemon! See you at the other end." He hopped out and dashed through the hole in the house, where the owners had hidden behind the couch. Slash ran to the building and out into the alley where he was greeted by a large group of pokemon. Slash looked at the pokemon and the reminants of his group of fighters. A quilava stepped out with a torchic on his back. "Well, lead the way Slash." The pikachu nodded and turned around. "Follow me!" Running back into the house, he guarded the door as everyone passed through. He stopped and caught quilava on the shoulder with his paw. "I'm going to make sure everyone gets out. Go to the man-hole cover in the next alley and get everyone down there and out of sight. I'll be down when everyone's there." Quilava nodded and streaked to the front of the herd of pokemon, running across the slippery kitchen tile and out onto the concrete of the alley. The end of the group eventually passed him and Slash and his friends brought up the rear. Reaching the middle of the house he stopped, his ears twitching. Mighteyana stopped and looked back at the pikachu. "What's wrong?" Slash flicked his tail for silence. A moment passed and he heard the miserable cry of a distressed pokemon. "There it is again!" Slash dashed back to the previous alley and looked around. Suddenly a flash of blue caught his eye, and he looked over to see a dratini curled by the entrance, shivering. Slash was next to it in a flash. He nudged it to slither to the house. When mighteyana came out the thundermouse was furious. He spit electricity. "WHY WAS SHE LEFT HERE?!! SHE SHOULD'VE BEEN TAKEN WITH THE FIRST GROUP!!" Mighteyana opened his mouth to reply but Slash flicked his tail angrily. "Just- take her away!! We have to get her out of here now!!" Mighteyana nodded and grasped the rubbery blue body in his mouth, running back through the kitchen. Slash saw trainers rushing into his alley after the rare dratini and dashed through the kitchen after them, shocking all in his wake. Just as he reached the door though he heard a sharp clang, and a heartstopping snap. Suddenly sharp claws sprang out at him from nowhere, and he dodged away from the door and crouched, bristling. In front of him stood a purugly, its tail twitching and its rump in the air, ready to pounce.

"Roger that!" Saya said before the pikachu ran off. He turned towards the group and called for the strongest to bring up the rear end and front. That way, no one would get too badly hurt. He then started sprinting across the city, the herd following every dodge and every sharp turn he made towards the cavern entrance. As soon as he found the entrance, he slowed down a little bit to let the other pokemon catch up. He glanced around and found a plusle amidst the pokemon. "Hey, you!" He called, pointing to the curiously frightened plusle. "Can you use spark?" The blaziken watched as the plusle nod and take the leadership role-swerving to the head of the pack and ushering the others forward. He smiled and ran to the back of the group and waited until all of them were gone and out of sight. Saya looked back through the alley and waited for a few more minutes. "Where IS that pikachu?!" He asked frantically. He knew Tracie wouldn't lead the group through the caverns without him there, but he still had to make sure Slash and his group were coming right after them.

Quilava's flame on his back lit the way through the cavern on the other side of town. Following the scents, swinub was easily able to detect which way the other groups went, and guide quilava accordingly. Pretty soon they rounded a corner and almost collided with a blaziken standing around the other side. Quilava's flame rose exponantially in surprise, causing the group of pokemon behind him to yell. While swinub attempted to calm everyone down, quilava bristled in irritation. "Who- oh it's you. Why are you here? Shouldn't you be heading the second group?" His ear twitched anxiously. "Has something happened??"

"No, I was waiting for you all." Saya replied swiftly as he uncrossed his arms. "The others went on ahead to meet up with Trace since it's not that far before everything gets twisty. Where's that pikachu that was with you guys earlier? Wasn't he leading this group?"

Swinub snuffled and ducked behind the fire pokemon, fearful of the Blaziken's anger. Quilava huffed, its eyes narrowing. "Of course, he's right behind us. He left last to make sure that no one was left behind, and left me in charge to lead the group through the passageway." Slash stared into the purugly's slanted eyes, frozen as it licked its whiskers with satisfaction. His large ears could pick up the shouts of the trainers closing in on the house containing the last rare Kanto pokemon. Purugly licked its claws as the first humans entered the household. Slash took a step backwards and pressed his chest to the floor, growling threateningly. The pikachu grimaced. Man I've really done it this time............

Saya looked at the two inquisitively and waited a few minutes before he began to look for the leader of the group. He wasn't coming behind him. The blaziken sighed and started to walk towards the place where they came from, leaving them for Tracie to find. "I'll be back soon." He said with a happy smile. "If I'm not back in five minutes, assume I'm electrified and meet Tracie in the middle of the cave~"

Quilava nodded, but swinub suddenly stiffened. "WAIT! Someone's coming!" Quilava's ears immedeatly perked up and he jumped back over the pokemon to face the tunnel they had come from in a crouch. The flames on his back and neck flared into a blaze trailing behind his body. His eyes narrowed and his flames lowered in size, ready in case the stranger was hostile. Paws thrummed on the cool concrete of the underground passageway, a drop of water dripped from the ceiling onto the ear of the pokemon. Coming into the light of the flame, Mighteyana emerged from the dark tunnel with a pokemon wrapped around his neck, clinging to his fur. The canine pokemon slowed his loping gate to stand at the edge of the light and lowered his head to signal that he meant no harm. Quilava nodded and relaxed, his flame shrinking to a dull glow. Quilava hopped forward and stood up on his hind leg, questioning. He looked at mighteyana, then looked around him, over him, and down the corridor behind him. Quilava looked back at mighteyana, concerned. "Where's Slash?" Mighteyana frowned. "After you all left Slash and I found a dratini who was left behind. I grabbed dratini and Slash covered our escape. I assumed he was right behind me. The trainers were coming, so he should've come right after..." Mighteyana stopped, realizing the trouble that his friend may be in. Quilava's ears lay back against his head in anxiety. "Shit!!" He started running back down the tunnel after Slash.

Saya listened intently, then watched as Quilava decided to start running the other way. The blaziken gasped and ran after him, jumping up and cutting the other pokemon off at the beginning of the cave. "Stop right now!" He comanded, forcing his head upon Quilava's head and shoving him back. "You're being irrational! You can't go back now-if Slash is there, he's there. You'll get hurt or caught by one of those trainers if you go back out there. Besides, I'm sure Slash is fine. He's good enough to take care of himself." Saya stood up and looked down at Quilava sternly. "Your duty is to lead the group through the cave to the rendevous point at the other side of the city. Don't worry though." He held his thumb up. "I'll go back and make sure Slash is okay~" With that, he began making his way back in search of the pikachu.

HAHA!!!!!!!!!!!! LONG POST IS LOOOONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Slash squirmed under the claws of the purugly frantically, trying to escape without injury. The sharp tips of the claws dug into his fur, pricking his skin and causing him to yelp. Purugly was giddy with feline delight, and simply dug into its prey harder the more it squeeked. Electricity danced on his cheeks as Slash attempted once more to shock the cat pokemon, but it seemed to have no effect. Purugly smiled cattishly, and Slash growled in frustrated rage. Stupid human items! Why can't they just leave well enough alone?!!!!! Slash looked up and saw the first trainers run in through the broken doorframe. The humans looked down at the pikachu as it fought to free itself, its front legs pinned to its body by the claws of the purugly. The trainers smiled and reached for their pokeballs. "Go, Blitzle!!" "Help me out Liepard!" The two pokemon burst out of their pokeballs and stood on the wood floor in front of the pinned pikachu. Blitzle's hoof stamped the ground with a burst of flame and liepard licked her teeth, grinning. Slash gazed up at the pokemon ane felt his heart plummet to his gut. Against three pokemon he had no chance. In one last defying attempt he shot a thunderbolt at Liepard, at which Blitzle stepped in front of the purple feline. The electricity was drawn towards and absorbed by the mane on Blitzle's neck, boosting its energy. Giving up, Slash shut his eyes and braced for the attack. "Blitzle, use wild charge now!" A screech followed the command and the claws on Slash's body suddenly tightened, piercing his skin. Slash gasped with pain but as soon as the claws entered his body they were ripped from his fur with a force so strong that it sent his small body tumbling across the wood. Looking up, he saw the black and white pokemon's body sparkling with lightning, snorting challengingly at the purugly, who was rising from its collision with the wall. It snarled at the Blitzle who lost its prey, and swiped a paw at the pokemon's face. Liepard's claws met Purugly's and the two cats faced off, tempting the other to be first to back down. Slash scoffed. "Heh- So much for house pets.." His tail flicked and his ears perked up as he spotted the open doorway to the alley. Yes, finally! Picking up speed, he dashed towards the door. The trainers yelled frantically for someone to close the door, but they were too far away. He was too fast for them- he was going to make it! Suddenly there was a bolt of flame and blitzle's face appeared right in front of Slash's. The electric pokemon screeched to a stop and the horse snorted in his face. Other pokemon began to leap towards the door as more of the trainers' pokemon were called out. A herdier padded to the door and slammed it shut, blocking any escape. Slash backed away a step at a time, the Blitzle ever in front of him. Finally his foot brushed fur and he stopped to look behind him at the liepard looming above him, having dealt with the pet. The feline smiled and Slash knew the fight had begun. Slash leapt forward as the cat pokemon's claws raked across his back, landing himself right between the legs of the Blitzle. Blitzle neighed and immedeatly began trying to crush Slash beneath its hooves. Slash jumped and dodged backwards and rolled out from beneath the Blitzle as its hoof fell to meet him. Leaping across furniture, he expertly slipped through the coils of a Serperior and dodged other attacks from the group of pokemon until he was out of breath. Finally he hit the carpet at the other end of the house next to the trainers, exhausted. The boy and girl got out their pokeballs and threw them at him. Slash knocked one away with his tail and rolled away from the other one, but Herdier came at him from behind and tackled him. Rolling across the floor, he came to a dizzying halt on the mat of the door. Feeling the wind on his face, Slash rose in defiance at this gleem of hope and pounced for the doorway when he heard a loud, muffled thump shake the floor behind him. Slash's tail screamed in agony as the Blitzle ground it into the floor, pressing its hoof so hard into his tail that he thought it would break. Blitzle moved to stand over Slash's spent yellow body, and snorted to its trainer, who nodded and raised the pokeball in his right hand. Slash's body ached with pain everytime he moved, and he knew that he couldn't move one more inch if he tried. The trainer raised his pokeball to throw and Slash had only one thought- he wasn't going down without giving Blitzle something to remember him by. The pokeball left the trainer's grasp and Slash reached in front of him and sank his fangs into the hind leg of his pokemon captor. Blitzle's pupils became as wide as dinner plates. Rearing up, it released its hold on Slash's tail and began running around the house, flailing wildly, and bucking. Slash clung to Blitzle's leg and was continuously kicked by raging hooves and stamped into the floor, but he wasn't letting go until he was ripped from the equine's foot. Now completely desperate, Slash tightened his bite. Blitzle, frantic to get Slash off of his leg, made one desperate attempt to dislodge the pokemon. Leaping into the air, Blitzle shot its legs out in one last mighty kick and Slash's teeth were torn from his opponent, sending him flying through the window. "PIKAAAAAAAAAAAA" Slash's body collided with the brick wall of the neighboring house and lay on the concrete of the back alley, too stunned and injured to lift himself up.

The blaziken ran around the city for a while before he heard a loud CRASH from around the corner. That's probably a bunch of young, unexperienced trainers attempting to catch Slash. He thought quietly, smiling at the thought of fighting. He loved battles, no matter how dangerous it was to start a fight. He broke into a run, skirting around the corner and suddenly having a blitzle ram its head into his side! He gagged, looking for a breath of air to drink as he regained his footing. Flames fired up around his wrist, ready for the electric type's move. Blitzle snorted and pawed the ground, eyeing the pikachu behind the fire type as his first target instead of the opponet in front of him. He charged up, then used discharge to get Saya out of the way. However, the blaziken dodged it and carefully aimed his fist at the horse pokemon's face. Blitzle was shot backwards, immediately getting back up to Saya picking up the injured pikachu and running the other way. Soon, they were on a high-tail chase for the cavern. He rounded a corner, being careful not to leave any marks, and failed at a stealthy escape. The blitzle and liepard friend had tracked him down from the start, and they were hot on his trail. He jumped into the cavern, aimed at the top of the entrance, and used flamethrower to make the rocks crumble and lock them inside. Saya looked at the entrance for a minute as it blocked out the others, and sighed in relief.

Slash groaned. "My h-head feels like it's been hit by a steelix, and my body feels as if every last bit of energy has been sucked out of it. Other than that I'm fine........" He rested his head on his paws and closed his eyes tiredly.

"We'll get you to someone who can help you soon enough, alright?" The blaziken said, getting up and gently resting Slash on his shoulder. "We're safe now-don't you worry. The rest of the group should be up ahead...." As the two neared the middle, the only light that was available was the light that seeped from the flames around Saya's wrists. The caverns seemed to go on and on-never ending so the two would have to wander forever. He normally managed to get himself lost in caves like this-Saya couldn't imagine how Tracie memorized all these silly pathways and such so easily. Then, he stopped in his tracks and gazed upon two dark, scary-looking tunnels. He moved to the one on the left and made a howling noise into it. It echoed for a few seconds and died away. Then he moved to the other one, and did the same thing. More echoes. Saya stood for a minute or three before scooting back and shooting two flames down each tunnel. The one on the right lit up instantly with sparkling rows of icy teeth on the ceiling and floor, while the other only showed more and more darkness. "Ha ha! I KNEW she would have something for me~" Saya said happily, jogging down the dark corridor, making sure not to move his shoulder so Slash was comfy and didn't have to move around much.

They had been wandering for hours-it was almost nighttime now. The stars dotted the sky, bringing alight the darkness that concealed the shadows of the desert in this dreary night. Miyu sighed and wondered how she had ever managed to get them here-she only recently learned teleport again, and she didn't think she could transport that amount of people that great a distance in such a short time frame. The gardevoir automatically took a liking to Kokuei-one, she was a human. Humans were mostly always so nice to her. Two, she had pokemon. That must mean she was a trainer! Trainers are nice. And three; she had been alone for so long with no other pokemon who wanted to be her friend, and now a human and her pokemon came into Miyu's life. It was almost like... Presently, Miyu's thought process stopped as she started to pick up psychic waves from somewhere in the desert. They weren't too far away from an inhabited place-psychologic waves didn't come from nowhere, you know! The gardevoir took the lead, running ahead of the rest of the group and disappearing off into the sands of the lone desert. She hoped Kokuei got the message and followed her-she didn't want the human to be left there, especially when there was the possibility of rain or a thunderstorm or sandstorm or whatever. Psychic waves equals shelter!

Kokuei lay on the sand, her forehead warm. They had been walking all day until Rakurai made them all stop and refused to let Kokuei go anywhere without a zap on her butt. Now, Kokuei was dehydrated and Rai lay in the sand, panting. The two stayed a ways from each other just because it was so hot that neither could imagine sharing the other's heat AT ALL, END OF STORY. Kokuei's clothes were drenched in sweat, though she'd retired her jacket to her bag under the blazing heat. All she wore now were ripped pants (she made them into shorts), a ripped shirt (she ripped the sleeves off), and.... well, that was it. She had discarded her footwear. When Miyu Moved off, Rai looked up to see her walking out into the heat once again. Standing shakily, she licked her lips and went to Kokuei. Nudging her trainer's face with her nose, she tried to wake her up. Kokuei moaned softly and sat up in the sand. She had a small headache, but she managed to get back up and follow the gardevoir. Rai padded at her heels, eyeing her worriedly. Humans wouldn't last long in this kind of heat.
