In the back of the labratory building pokemon waited in cages to be samples for experimentation. In the back of one cage a pokemon crouched in its corner, snarling at labratory people passing by. With its fiesty temperament, the scientists didn't bother this one much, and put it in aits own seperate cage alone most of the time. They didn't experiment with this one like the rest, instead treating it relatively better than the rest of the victims.

Umbreon glared at the scientist approaching his cage, red eyes glinting with rage. He was not having a good day. The scientist bent over and looked at the hunched figure. "Well good morning." Umbreon snarled in response. "Are you ready for today's session?" Again, a snarl. Shrugging, the scientist picked up the cage and carried it down the hall, angry pokemon and all.

Katsu glared down at the approaching people. He sniffed. "And what do you want?"

The strangers smiled. "We might as well ask you the same question."

Katsu growled. "I'm the one asking the questions here. Who are you and why are you here? I've got buisiness to attend to if you don't mind, so scram."

The first stranger giggled, her hair flashing in the moonlight. "My my aren't you fiesty. And is that a Plasma shirt you have on? Do you work for them?"

Katsu snorted. "What's it to ya? Maybe I do, maybe I don't. Maybe I don't give a damn what they do, but they have money and need a worker. I don't care about them really. I gotta deliver these pokemon now, so if you'll excuse me....."

The girl smiled. "Then they won't miss you.."

Katsu turned back around. "What did you say?...... Uh!" Katsu was suddenly shoved off the boat by a powerful force, landing on the cement with a thud. He tried to get up, but a weight landed on his back, driving the breath out of him. The girl laughed. "We'll just be taking the pokemon for you. You can come along too. Like our- honored guest."

Katsu snarled. "Take the damn pokemon then! But what do you want with me? If you're trying to get revenge on Plasma, I take care of myself. I don't care about anyone else." He smiled. "I'm no use to you."

The girl grinned widely. "Thank you so much for clearing that up. No, we have no quarrel with Team Plasma. They're a bunch of fools. I really couldn't care less." She laughed. "You have no real connection with them so no one will miss you. No one cares for a person like you so no one will search for you- Once you disappear."

Katsu felt his blood run cold. They were kidnapping him! His face turned red with rage. He was not going to be a captive! flinging his arm back, he struck whatever was on top of him. Feeling it recoil, he stood up and ran at the girl, and punched her in the face.

The girl fell backwards, landing on her butt. Suddenly three guys surrounded Katsu, holding his arms behind his back and grabbing the back of his neck. They forced him to the ground painfully as the girl got up. Kneeling on the ground with his hands behind his back, Katsu glared up at the girl with pure hatred. She walked over to him haughtily, and stood over him. She smiled widely. "Didn't your mother tell you, never to hit a lady?" Walking away from the group she tossed back a shot needle, which one man caught. "Put him with the rest."

The hand on Katsu's neck tightened, making him yell in pain. His vision blackened, and he was faintly aware of a prick of a needle in his neck tissue. He was suddenly kneeling in front metal bars, and was shoved into the cage. It was way too small for him, and his body barely fit. He heard footsteps fading as the spasms began, and the cold red glow of eyes faded as the pain enveloped his body.

The boy huffed and muttered something inaudible to the scientists who had done a follow up on him, then lay still. After a few minutes of rest, they gave him water and some bread to eat. The water and bread was the most he had eaten all day. Then they came in again.

"Alright, we're moving you to a different area. Stand up and walk!" They commanded. The boy slowly turned his head to them and let it lazily droop to the side with his hair flopping onto his face.  He slowly reacted-his whole body ached with the pain of multiple experiments-and grabbed his new visors before walking out to the security officers. His pale blue eyes stared lifelessly into the distance as they put the visors on for him and they departed. Everything was so clear and visible! He didn't know how they did it, but somehow they made the visors so he wasn't blind anymore. In the back of the laboratory, they let him roam free instead of sitting in a cell. They just locked the doors so he wouldn't be able to escape.

"Have fun~" One of the men said evilly in a sing-song voice. "You're pretty much done, 00765. You are the perfect being. Fufufufufu...."

Then they shut the door. He looked around the room, caged pokemon wailing for him to release them everywhere. Some were just as doomed as he was-and some were already dead. He stumbled across the room and sat next to a pikachu in a cage. He sucked in a deep breath and sighed, attempting to get used to his new body. This was not going to be fun.

Umbreon sat still while the scientists put strange suction cups all over his body, and one large one on his head. He would twitch his tail irritably, if not for the one on his tail, which they told him to keep still. His face read; TOTALLY UNAMUSED. Finally, the machine beeped. They took the cups off of umbreon and charmander, and took the plungers off of their heads. Yes that is what they looked like; Plungers.

Umbreon thought he was done, and hopped from the table. A scientist caught him. "Uh uh uh... We've still got to test it." Umbreon sighed. He had hoped for a short day.

The scientists put the charmander back in her cage and wheeled her to the side along with a few other cages. The pokemon started mumbling when umbreon reutinely stepped up to his place on the battle field. The scientist told them to shut up. They did.

Umbreon mumbled. "Okay you loon, lets get this over with."

The scientist rubbed his hands together. "Okay Umbreon try it out. Lets see that fiery spark!"

Umbreon placed his feet apart and stood firmly rooted to the ground. Upon opening his mouth a small flame exited his maw. With confidence, Umbreon snarled and opened his mouth, and attacked. Upon release a column of fire shot up his throat and out of his mouth. He thought it was cool until an instant later when the pain hit. A searing pain entered his body as his throat exploded. The pain was unbearable as the fleshy tissue of his esophagus was burnt under the intense flame. He screamed and writhed in pain, but he didn't know how to stop it! Falling to his knees, umbreon crouched in searing pain and fell over, a smaller column of fire still exiting his body.

The scientist yelled in surprise and ran over to the wounded pokemon. He stooped down next to the pokemon and looked over it in horror. "We need Water! NOW!!" His assistant smashed off the lock to mudkip's cage and the little pokemon bolted to umbreon. All of the pokemon were now crying in their cages, yelling to umbreon. Mudkip reached umbreon as the scientist held open his mouth, and mudkip sprayed a jet of water down his throat.

The flames died in umbreon's throat as the water engulfed the heat. Umbreon could see his scientist hovering over him, becoming distorted. He was trying to speak. "Umbr...n.......U..br..on......"

Umbreon mumbled tiredly. "Sorry doc........" And he passed out.

The doctor watched as umbreon was tackled by unconsciousness before sighing.

"Let's get them back to normal before giving up for the day." He stated to the other officers. "See how the charmander does and then let these two rest up."

"Yes sir." The two replied, taking the charmander and umbreon back to another testing area. Charmander seemed to have little success with his new powers also-shadow claw bounced back at him. Then, they re-switched their powers again and started to carry them away once more. The professor watched what they were doing until the charmander fell to his knees before going out and checking up on the other specimens. Rough day. He sighed to himself as he opened the door to the grand keeping room. The rows and rows of pokemon in cages were interrupted by a single 17-year old boy. He was their newest arrival-along with that little girl that had been there. But she had recently been moved to a safer area, for there would be people who wanted to steal her for their own personal gain. The boy stared at him through his blue visors.

"How is our star project doing, 00756?" The professor asked. The boy just stared at him darkly.

 "Everything functioning properly?"

 No answer.

"What about your vitals? Are you doing alright?"

 Silence.

The professor was getting a bit irritated. "Are you going to just stand there and stare at me, 00756, or are you going to answer me? I need to know how you're doing-"

Suddenly, the boy was in his face with his new wings wrapped around his neck.

"I have a name, you know." He growled darkly. "I am NOT just a number in your silly little number line, and I'm only here for the sake of that girl! If you threaten me in any way, shape, or form you will seriously REGRET IT!"

The boy released the man, dropping him to the ground and letting him squirm and gasp for air.

"I never asked for this. And neither did you." He finally growled. "Why can't you just see the world as it is? Why must you take the natural order and toy with it?!"

The lugia boy scoffed and turned away, heading towards the back of the room to leave the scientist on the floor to cower in fear. That boy... The man thought with an exhilarating tone glinting through his mind as he got himself off the floor and dusted his *LEATHER PANTS*. He is truly extrodinary! I wonder how his sister reacts... But we erased both of their memories, so she wouldn't knkow what to do in his presence anyways! Ke ke ke keh.... I would just LOVE to see him in a pokemon battle!

Umbreon's eyes fluttered open. He was lying on a bed of soft towels on the concrete floor of the back room. His head and neck were bandaged with gauze, which had a gel-like substance slathered underneath, slowly soaking into his skin. He breathed in.

   Pain.

Umbreon gasped when the cool air hit his ragged throat and coughed heavily, scarlet droplets of blood falling on the ivory towels.  He lay back with a restrained sigh. His red eyes closed in chilled acceptance. He wasn't going anywhere for a while.

The lab workers dragged the struggling pokemon down the hall. His blood-red eyes flashed murderously. I'm not going anywhere without a fight!! As they passed an open door the pokemon glanced into the dark room. He snarled.

The wall of the room was lined with cages, their shiny mesh gleeming in the light of the hallway. Yet that wasn't what enraged the pokemon. No, his focus was on the curled lump in the back of the room; the sleeping figure of a pokemon. Umbreon.

The captive pokemon thrashed against his bindings, spitting at his captors. His mind raged. That stinking pokemon! It gets treated much better than I do. Why is it so special. It's just a mongrel! Suddenly he felt somthing wrap around his legs, sweeping him off his feet. He was dragged on his side down the frigid hallway to a middle aged man with a lab coat and sunglasses.

   "The Absol....."

   "O.........................wild one."

The lab man smirked and glared upon the bound pokemon. "Oh we'll fix that, won't we............"

Kokuei sat on a bench next to the path through the forest on the way to the next town. She was looking at her watch. Tinkering with the knobs, she remembered when she had gone to Terryl to get it fixed.

   "Okay it's finished!"

Kokuei stood up. "Alright!" She walked over to her friend. Terryl was a greasy-faced boy with the only clean place on his body being the goggle-shaped spot on his face where his focals rested. Terryl was a mechanic, and the best Kokuei knew. His hair color was naturally an almost-dirty blond, but no one could ever tell. Depending on what kind of day he was having and what kind of work he had to accomplish, his hair could be anywhere in the range of a light, sooty gray to an oil-black. The focal goggles he wore on his head magnified even the smallest of screws, and he could take a machine apart and put it back together in the time it took Kokuei to finish a capture. He wore green mudslicks and an oil-stained apron on top. His big smile was the most prominent thing about him.

Terryl was holding a large black watch, with a black rubber watch band. He showed it to Kokuei. "Now, I couldn't fit the disk on the watch, so you'll have to attach it to your belt." He handed her a disk, then pointed to an opening on the side of the watch. "Now if you really want one in the actual machine I did replicate a smaller one. It comes out of here if you push this button. The antenna comes out of the front over your hand if you push the middle." He laughed. "Now it's needless to say that this thing doesn't tell time. But you can twist the hands around if you want. I'll try to come up with one that does while you're away."

Kokuei took the watch. "Thanks Terryl, this is great."

While Kokuei put the watch on Terryl took out a black shell with a wrist band out of his apron. "Now what will you do with this? Should I keep it? If you have it with you it may give you away......"

Kokuei took it. "No. Thank you Terryl but this does mean alot to me. I'd rather keep it in my possesion." She finished strapping the watch and thanked him again while she slung her satchel over her shoulder. She headed for the door.

Terryl grabbed her wrist on her way out. He looked her in the eye. "Now Kokuei, do not think that this will solve all your problems. You're a trainer now. Instead of relying on this use your own pokemon to adapt to the situation. This still hasn't been field tested yet. And if anyone saw you-"

Kokuei put his hand down. "Terry, I know already. I'll be careful okay? I promise. Just please don't tell the Union where I went, okay?"

Terryl sighed. "Alright I promise. But you know I wouldn't do that anyways. You and Keith are my best friends."

Kokuei nodded. "Okay. Well, I'm off. Take care. And say hi to Gizmo for me."

Terryl stood in the doorway as Kokuei walked down the road to the Sinnoh region. A pichu hopped on his shoulder and nuzzled his cheek. "Just be careful Sam. Please be careful."

A peaceful day in the city. Officer Jenny was sitting on her bike, drinking some refreshing water while her partner, a growlithe of epic proportions, lay sleeping on the ground adjacent to the bike. He breathed in and exhaled before opening his eyes coolly at the sound of officer Jenny's radio crackling. The blue haired police officer picked up the radio with her gloved hands, and answered the call.

"Alright, we'll be there as soon as we can!" She replied after a few minutes of listening to static voices talking on the other end. She put her radio away and turned to her growlithe friend, who had already gotten up and was ready to roll.

"Let's go, growlithe!" Jenny said, putting her bike in gear and revving it up. He growled and barked enthusiastically in response, a smirk shown clearly across his face.

Growlithe was sitting in the shade when the radio buzzed.

"Yes, yes I see. Alright I'll come right away. Growlithe!"

Growlithe stood up. "Grow!" He hopped on his officer's skyraptor and they were off to randevous with the other Jennies.

Kokuei and Rakurai came to the town and stopped to survey the layout. Rakurai ____________ GOING TO DINNER. U can post for your growlithe. How bout someone broke into a mansion and stole someone's pokemon. You can find the theif in an alley when you go searching for him. (After you learn what's going on.) The pokemon stolen could be a glameow or something fancy like that

A few minutes later, Officer Jenny and her growlithe arrived at the scene of the crime along with the other Jennies that had decided they were a part of this mission too. The officers that were all lined waited as the chief of police walked up to the front of the line and kicked the bike's kickstand out so it would stand independently.

"Alright, officers!" She announced, letting the mission quota begin. "A thief stole a togepi from this mansion right behind me-the witnesses say he's a master of disguise. He was last seen as a tall man with a straight face in odd clothing. Keep a lookout for anyone you deem suspicious!"
"Yes ma'am!" The Jennies replied in unison, taking off one by one until the Jenny with the cool growlithe took off towards the normal hotspot of criminals-the alleyway. She had been in the business so long, she knew every trick up the sleeves of criminals everywhere. She drove by every alley she could manage to find, until FINALLY she spotted a tall, dark figure with a bag that wriggled around furiously in his arms. That might be the thief! She thought to herself as she parked her bike and ran towards the man.

"Grrrrowl!" The growlithe responded, jumping off the bike as well and running behind Officer Jenny.

"Hold it right there, mister!" She shouted. The growlithe shouted as well, snarling and baring his teeth irritatedly. The man turned around and growled. He reached for his belt and pulled out a pokeball.

"This is MY pokemon, now!" He laughed horridly. "Go, Honchkrow!"

Growlithe's Jenny didn't zoom away like the others. She brought out her pokeball instead. "Go Swinub!" Sinub popped out. "Sniff 'im out!"

   "SWISWI!!!"

So then they were on the trail. Swinub and growlithe ran through the alleyways while Jenny flew above them on her staraptor. Finally, she spotted him. Another officer was challenging him. "GO HONCHKROW!"

Jenny scowled. "Oh no ya don't!!" Swooping down, She and her bravebird flew head-on into the honchkrow. The two flying pokemon took to the skies in an aerial battle, her steelwing versus his dark pulse.

Growlithe rounded the corner, nose to the ground. The theif turned and spotted it. Growlithe let out a howl and charged. Flaring up, billowing flames surrounded it's body as it leapt towards the crook. Fangs glinting, Growlithe snarled. He's not getting away!! I'll rip his gizzard out!!!!!!! The theif promptly dodged.

"WHAT??" Growlithe couldn't believe it! Since dogs don't land on their feet, or at least not this one, growlithe tumbled to a halt when his flaming hieny hit some rubber. The smell of burning rubber was terrible. Growlithe barked indignantly and got ready to use bodyslam. When it leapt though, it flew right into another Growlithe! The pokemon yelped, rolling over one another. The criminal fled and the other Jenny ran after it. "STOP!!"

The theif of course didn't stop, but kicked away the swinub and fled down the other alley and out into the street, where a quick smoke bomb was all that was required to get away.

Seeing as how the enemy had gotten away, the first growlithe snarled at the other in hot-headed despair.

"WHAT WAS THAT ALL ABOUT?!" He growled, temper rising. "YOU LET HIM GET AWAY!!!! I OUGHTA-"

"Growlithe!" Jenny yelled, obviously sensing the anger in his voice. "Now is not the time to be angry! Let's go!"

Without delay, he snorted irritatedly and hopped on officer Jenny's bike. He looked back at his comrade. "You always screw everything up." She revved up her engine and sped off, calling the rest of the officers to make sure he had a wriggling bag. This was a horrible break, so far.

Okay, so it was a terrible start. Growlithe hung his head low as he walked into the station with his Jenny. The other officers were standing around a map of the city. "Okay so the theif was here, and our patrol unit is there......." The other growlithe were lined up against the wall.

As growlithe padded past the other pokemon, not interested in joining them, they scowled. "Nice going loser."

   "You let 'im escape!!"

"Even I couldn't mess up that badly."

Growlithe sighed and looked up. There were Blitz, Kinder, Kiba, and Tammy, all lined up sitting next to the wall. Soot the rookie was sitting by himself, more out of respect than anything else, and growlithe could tell where Storm was by the angry heat ebbing from the far corner of the room. Arcanine and Commet were out on patrol. Growlithe said nothing, but instead walked right passed them, all laughing at him. As he walked out the back flap, he turned to see Storm's eyes burning into his own. He walked out the pokedoor.

Walking down the streets, Growlithe whined. I never do anything right.... Eventually he reached the tree outside the baker's shop and lay down under it's cool refreshing shade. He closed his eyes and whimpered. I always screw things up. Even that new guy does better. I'm always the one tripping when it's my turn, and I'm always the one who stumbles into the net, which wouldn't be so bad or shameing if it were the criminal's net. But no, it's always the trap we laid out for the theif!! I'm nothing but a hinderance. A tear rolled down his fuzzy cheek. I'll never be a true police pokemon.

Growlithe stood up and walked to the edge of the street. Looking down into a puddle, he gazed at his police collar. The dark blue leather was torn and dirty, and the badge was dull and muddied. It read, "Dash- Solaceon Police station_Growlithe in Training" Dash snarled and leapt in the puddle, splashing it across the sidewalk. He thundered across the street and disappeared into an alley.

"Looks like....ost him...." The murmur of the police women echoed throughout the room. Arashi and the others were gossiping amongst themselves, talking about the mess-up.

"I think he should be out of the buisiness!" Said Tammy, puffing up her chest and shoulders.

"He's just not meant to be policing." Kiba retorted dully, scratching his ear. "How did he ever manage to get into the squad?"
"Beats me." Arashi growled. "I think Jenny just took pity on him because he's a mutt!"

Just then, another officer burst into the room.

 "He's gone!"
 "What?"

"My growlithe...He's gone! I'm Afraid he may have gone after the theif!!" She huffed.

"Let's go; we need to find him ASAP!" They said together. They raced off on their bikes, and surely enough for them-they found evidence. A blue collar, soaked and covered in mud, obviously belonging to the missing growlithe. It's radio transmitter looked like it had been smashed with a hammer! They were REALLY worried now-they couldn't track him down without difficulty now.

The growlithe's owner clenched her fist in anger. "The theif must've gotten him......"

Dash had lost his collar in a back alley. He huffed indignantly. When the raticate had jumped out at him from the shadows he didn't know what to think, much less what to do! Luckily it's smashing teeth had hit his radio transmitter. Dash had managed to slip out to avoid being choked to death, and fled the alley with the raticate after him. Jumping a fence, he had finally lost the giant rodent, flees and all. He was now walking down a less populated street near the outskirts of the city. No collar, no criminal, this was the worst day that he had ever had.

Kokuei strolled through the streets- well, strolled isn't the right word. She was a bit too cautious to be 'strolling'. She had Rakurai walking ahead of her, glancing at the streets and alleys. Suddenly Rakurai stopped, glaring down a shadowy back road. Kokuei stopped. "What is it Rai?"

Rai growled lowly, then her tail lowered. Kokuei looked around the corner, to see a ratty looking pokemon. It's orange fur was patched with dirt, and it looked at her sadly like it was depressed. She of course put her hands on her hips and looked down at it. "Well now, I know just what to do for you.

Outside the gamecorner Kokuei sat at a table with a towel, rubbing the puppy down as the growlithe licked up his vanilla icecream. Rai was content basking in the sun on the edge of the patio, feet hanging leisurely between the rails.

Kokuei looked at the growlithe's well-groomed shiny fur. "I wonder who's you are. You've obviously been well taken care of."

Suddenly a tall man came down the street with a hat and a sack over his shoulder. Growlithe stiffened. Kokuei felt a growl in growlithe's chest as the man came closer. He then rounded the next corner into a side street.

"Growl!" Growlithe jumped from her lap and ran over to the stairs. When it reached the bottom, Rakurai was waiting for him.

Rakurai growled at the pokemon while Kokuei hurriedly packed up the towel. "What's the hurry?"

The growlithe snarled. "That guy is a criminal! He stole a togepi from Mr. Dowers this morning. I have to catch him!!"

Rakurai stepped in his way AGAIN. "Why does it matter to you? Why do you have to catch a crook when the police can do that?"

The growlithe's growl turned into a whimper. "I-- Messed up." His tail drooped. "The whole reason he's gotten away from Jenny so far is that I ran into another pokemon, and let him escape. I... also melted the other Jenny's tires..." He looked up at Rai furiously. "That's why I HAVE to catch him! I messed this up, it's my job to fix it."

Rai growled in agreement. "What's your name?"

"I'm Dash from Solaceon, Police Growlithe in training."

By this time, Kokuei had caught up to them and was coming down the stairs. Rai growled in pleasure. "Then let's shred this guy~"

The theif walked down the alley in a lengthy stride. Suddenly when he neared the corner Kokuei walked out in front of him. "Uh uh uh~" She waggled her finger in a scolding manner.

The theif turned quickly to see that the other end was blocked by Rakurai's crackling fangs. Dash rounded the corner and came to stand next to Kokuei, snarling. The crook was trapped.

Deciding that the girl and lame growlithe was the better chance than the savage luxio, the guy leapt towards the end of the alley. Growlithe barked, his feet flashing. Jumping up, he headbutted the guy in the chest, falling back to his feet with a thump. It took a minute for his head to stop spinning, but otherwise he was okay.

The crook snarled, rubbing his chest. He smiled. "That almost left a mark. Too bad you're not stronger." Rai snarled and charged down the alley, her mane prickling with stored electricity. The man stood calmly facing her and whipped out his pokeball. "

__________ YAYA THE BATTLE BLAHAHAHAHAHAH THE TRIO WIN THE THEIF RUNS AWAY AND KOKUEI IS LEFT WITH THE BAG I May possibly finish this but lets move on shall we.......................................

Kokuei walked slowly over to the sack, which was now hopping around spazztically on the pavement. Grabbing it, Kokuei sat down and loosened the ties on the top of the fabric. Once the tie was loose and the top opened, Kokuei peered into the bag to see a smooth rainbow body staring back at her from the bottom of the bag. The missing togepi was safe.

"Chiki-prrrrrrrroui!" The togepi smiled happily. It was happy to have been saved from being suffocated within that bag. Thank goodness for good-hearted humans!

~~~
 A few hours later, the police had no trace of the missing pokemon suspect OR Dash, the newly missing growlithe. They'd search all over the place-yet not a trace of either. It was so depressing to continue to fail and fail, all in one day. At last, they spotted a girl walking out of the alleyway. A growlithe followed her, AND she held the missing togepi that was stolen from the Dower's property earlier that day! Oh, this day just got a whole lot better.
 "Code red, code red! All Jennies report to Sector 54-8! Suspect is in sight!" She yelled into her radio before dashing off towards Kokuei.
 ~~~

"Awwww, c'mon, Tracie!" Saya whined as they walked down the street towards a game center. "I just wanna play a little bit! It looks like fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuun..."

"No!" The glaceon replied, almost sprinting to keep up with the oversized chicken. "For the last time, Saya, we have to find Kamina! That's our objective. We can't stray from that until we complete our mission!"
"But who says we can't take detours?" He retorted, sticking out his pinkish orange tongue. "And who said this was a 'mission' anyways? I never thought we worked for anyone. In fact, we're considered 'wild', as those humans say, since Kamina isn't here to defend us as his. "

Tracie stopped in her tracks. "Don't you ever say that again."

 "What?"
"Don't. You're new to the team, anyways! You don't KNOW what it's like to be wild! YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT IT'S LIKE WITHOUT KAMINA!" Icy tears ran down her cold cheeks. It was painful to sit there without her master. He was her best friend-she had been with him since she was an egg. He practically raised her. His kind words, his gentle arms... And best part was, he never kept her in a pokeball. Sure, maybe once or twice she was in it, but most of the time he let her perch on his shoulder. He never let her out of his sight, and went they stole him away.... He fought til the bitter end to stay with his pokemon. He meant so much to her. Suddenly, Tracie felt herself being lifted. Saya's warm hands held her tightly to his chest and stroked her head and ears.

"Hey, I'm sorry." He said finally. "I didn't mean to hurt your feelings. I guess... I really don't know what it's like. But I know he's my master too, so don't you forget it."

Kokuei walked down the street , carrying the togepi with growlithe walking along beside her. Rai was off in the alleyways hunting that theif who got away from her. She still had a score to settle- and anyways he wasn't gonna get away from justice. So Kokuei headed leisurely back to the police station. Of course, she was just about to stop to get togepi a bite of icecream, when a whistle rang through the street.

Everyone stopped what they were doing to look around and get out of the way. Kokuei looked around and noticed an officer Jenny rounding the corner and heading up the street. A flock of poilce officers came behind her. They were heading her way. She looked around, trying to see the source of the commotion. Maybe it's that theif again!!

But alas, Kokuei saw no one, and when she turned around again she had one second to react to what she saw.

 "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH"

When Kokuei caught her breath again she found herself buried under a pile of police officers. Growlithe struggled to free its head from the pile, waving its rump desperately in the air. While the rest of her limbs were trapped, Kokuei had managed to raise one arm, and was now holding togepi out of the fray whilst eyeing the policemen strangely. "Um, is there a problem officers?"

One Jenny came up and snatched togepi from her hand. Reaching out, Kokuei grasped failingly at the air above her where togepi hovered at the officers. "Well that wasn't very nice."

"We've finally caught you!!" Kokuei's blood ran cold as ice. She looked up at Jenny in horror. "You didn't think you'd be able to escape did you?"

Cursing, Kokeui put her arm down as a trickle of sweat rolled down the side of her face. She bit her lip and grimaced. "I would like to see your ID."

Jenny laughed. "Who are you to be asking us for ID? You're coming with us. Now if you'd just lie still...."

But Kokuei had no intention of laying still. As soon as she felt the first officer start to rise she thrust her body upwards. This sent the officer flting and unbalanced another, providing enough leverage for her to rise to her knees. Her face was red with the strain. Officer whistles blew in her ears.

   "FORCE HER DOWN!!"

   "DON'T LET HER ESCAPE!!!!"

Kokuei was forced onto her chest by an elbow in the back of her head. The limb dug into the base of her skull, forcing her face into the concrete while the police struggled to tie her hands. "GROW!!!!"

Kokuei's eyes opened and there was growlithe, standing in front of her, bristling at the officer in rage. Jenny took a step nearer. "Dash...."

"GROOW!!" Growlithe snapped at the officer and took a protective step nearer his new friend.

Jenny contemplated this. Finally, she put her hands on her hips. "Well, Dash seems to like you so you can't be all that bad. Im sorry for being so rough." The men got off of Kokuei. "But you will still have to come to the station for questioning."

Kokuei relaxed with a sigh of relief. The officers had lifted her up to a sitting position, to let her catch her breath. She gasped and breathed rapidly. Her hands were tied behind her back. Her thoughts were rolling. This seemed a bit elaborate for a trap, and even so they had caught her. She decided to stop struggling, and was helped to her feet, to be led away by the squadron.

One of the officers strolled in comfortably through the metal doors. There were officers on the other side of the stained glass window so they could listen in to the interrogation, but this Jenny paid no heed to them. They warned her not to take off the cuffs on the suspect, yet she did so anyways.

"Hey, I'm sorry for what happened earlier." She said as she took off the cuffs around Kokuei's wrists. She gingerly stepped around the girl and slipped into the other chair. she folded her fingers around the other fingers, and set them on the table as she leaned her upper body forward.

"You see, we've been chasing a criminal from Solceon." She started to explain. "The only reson why we apprehended you is because the pokemon stolen was a togepi from a big mansion... Plus, you had one of our growlithe with you. Dash-that growlithe that defended you-had been assumed missing after we had apprehended the first suspect and lost him. We assumed he had gotten Dash as well, but.... Well, you proved us wrong. The question I have for you is... Did you steal those pokemon? Or if you didn't, where did you get them? Answer truthfully please. We need to get to the bottom of this case."

Kokuei leaned back, letting out a deep breath. Now that she knew they were the real police, she could relax. "Well, you see my luxio and I came into town around noon today. We found your growlithe, Dash, soon after in an alley. He was covered in dirt, so I cleaned him up and fed him. I didn't know where he came from." She shifted in her chair, on arm on the armrest. "A few minutes later a tall man with a sack walked by. Dash immedeatly sprang up snarling, and tried to go after him. Rakurai, my luxio, held him off just long enough for me to throw the icecream away and run after them.

"So long story short we apprehended him in an alleyway. Rai and Dash fought him off, well mostly dash when the man hurt Rai. The theif dropped the bag and ran off, and I found togepi inside. I knew this was probably theivery so I was trolling around for the station while Rai went off to get the man. I told her not to, but she was so furious I thought when she did find him he'd beg for mercy anyways." Kokuei whistled in sympathy. "I hope we don't find him burned to a crisp in some alley. Seems like you would need him at least concious for questioning. So anyways I decided to stop to get togepi a treat and then you know the rest."

Kokuei leaned forward onto the table. "I have to admit, when you assailed me, I was afraid you weren't the real police. That's why I asked for an ID. When you listened to Dash, that's when I calmed down. If it hadn't been for him we may have had a huge misunderstanding. You see...." She dropped her voice so that only Jenny could hear. "I'm being targeted. The people after me could be anywhere, or anyone. That's why I panicked when you grabbed me, because it sounded like you knew who I was. I couldn't understand why I was being apprehended."

"Ah, soka (translation: I see)." She replied, leaning back in her chair. "I understand. You know, if that's your problem, you can always come talk to the police about it. That's what we're here for, hun."

She pushed herself out of her chair and stood up. "Well, I appreciate you telling the truth. Thank you." She bowed and walked towards the door.

Kokuei leaned back and sighed. Almost immedeatly though, there was a commotion at the door. Knowing by the sound undoubtably what it was, she got up and walked out of the interrogtion room to find a very pleased looking luxio with a death grip on a tall man's shoe. The police were desperately trying to detach her fangs from the man's foot.

Walking calmly over, Kokuei decided to play rescuer. She stopped and looked down at the blue pokemon. "Had enough?"

Rakurai growled with pleasure and shocked the officer who tried to pry open her jowls. Looking at the man lying unconcious on the floor Kokuei whistled through her teeth. His black clothing was scorched and smoking, and there were claw ripps down his pants. A tooth mark in his shoulder told tell of how he was brought down. Kokuei knelt next to her pokemon. "Come on Rai they just want to question the guy, and then lock him up in prison." She smiled. "You did a good number on 'im so Im sure the next time he sees you he won't act so calm anymore."

Rakurai purred and let the man's foot slide out of his shoe. The police tried to haggle with Kokuei for the shoe briefly, but they gave up when she said she couldn't do a thing about it. What a luxio wants, the luxio gets, and there's nothing anyone can do to stop her once she has it. Rakurai sat on the floor purring gleefully as she poked holes in the leather as the police dragged the criminal away.

Kokuei smiled at Rakurai and then turned back to Jenny. They would schedule to meet with the owner of the togepi in an hour.
